Section 601.6 - Citations for Unlicensed Persons

(a) The Chief or their designee may issue a citation, in accordance with section 148 of the Code against any unlicensed person who is acting in the capacity of a licensee, registrant, permit holder, or certificate holder under the jurisdiction of the Bureau and who is not otherwise exempt from licensure. Each citation may contain an assessment of an administrative fine up to $5,000 and, where appropriate, an order of abatement fixing a reasonable period of time not to exceed 30 days for abatement.
(b) Any sanction authorized for activity under this section shall be separate from and in addition to any other civil or criminal remedies.
(c) In addition, the Chief or their designee may issue a citation, in accordance with sections 148 and 149 of the Code against any person who advertises, as defined in subdivision (g) of section 600.1, without a license.
