Section 1398.26.1 - Satisfactory Documentary Evidence of Equivalent Foreign Education for Licensure as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant

(a) This section is only applicable to those applicants who are graduates of non-accredited physical therapy educational programs that are not located in the United States and applying for licensure on or after the effective date of this regulation.
(b) For the purposes of determining educational equivalency for physical therapist licensure, the credential evaluation services will evaluate foreign educational credentials based on the appropriate Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy's (FSBPT) Coursework Evaluation Tool For Foreign Educated Physical Therapists (CWT) in accordance with subsection (e).
(c) Notwithstanding subdivision (b), if an applicant was evaluated utilizing the CWT described in paragraph (6) of subdivision (e), the board shall accept that evaluation in lieu of the corresponding CWT.
(d) For the purposes of determining educational equivalency for physical therapist assistant licensure, the credential evaluation services will evaluate foreign educational credentials based on the Coursework Tool for Foreign Educated Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA Tool) in accordance with subsection (e).
(e) For the purpose of this regulation, the following publications are incorporated by reference:
