Section 3999.432 - Health Care Treatment for Supervised Persons

(a) Releases. Each patient shall be personally screened by health care staff prior to release to parole or discharge from a facility. Staff conducting such screening shall alert the patient's parole agent regarding any current health problems and shall provide the patient with any necessary maintenance medication until the releasee can obtain medication in the community.
(b) Community treatment. Health care for supervised persons shall normally be provided by private physicians and community medical facilities, as desired by the supervised person and at the supervised person's own expense.
(c) Facility treatment. When a supervised person requires medical, surgical, psychiatric, or dental care of an emergency nature and community resources are not available or lack the security required for retention and treatment of the supervised person, the district parole administrator or their designee may arrange with the facility Chief Medical Executive, Supervising Dentist or the Chief Psychiatrist for the supervised person's return to Department custody for emergency treatment.
