(a) Medical sick call. Each department facility confining incarcerated persons shall provide scheduled times and locations for general population incarcerated persons. A medical doctor, registered nurse, or medical technical assistant shall make daily visits to each non-general population housing unit to provide medical attention to patients unable to use the sick call services provided for general population. Staff conducting sick call shall screen medical problems appearing to require further medical attention and shall evaluate requests for appointments with other medical staff. A facility physician shall personally visit each specialized housing unit at least once each week.
