Section 3999.202 - Informed Consent to Treatment

When unusual, serious or major health care procedures are indicated and time and circumstances permit, the patient's written informed consent shall be obtained before treatment is undertaken, except as otherwise provided in sections 3999.204 through 3999.204.6, 3999.210, and 3999.344. If the recommended treatment is refused, such refusal shall be documented in the patient's health record.
