Section 13256.1 - Staff Review

(a) Within five (5) days of receipt of a request for a boundary adjustment, the executive director of the commission shall make a preliminary review of the request. If the request does not conform to the provisions of Section 13255.2 or if the proposed adjustment patently fails to conform to the requirements of Public Resources Code Section 30103(b), the executive director of the commission shall reject the request and shall notify the person requesting the adjustment of his or her determination.
(b) If the request is accepted, the executive director of the commission shall further review the requested boundary adjustment and shall investigate:
In conducting the investigation of the proposed boundary adjustment the executive director of the commission shall consult with the affected local governments.
(c) The executive director of the commission shall prepare and distribute a written staff recommendation regarding the requested boundary adjustment in a manner similar to the manner for preparation and distribution of staff recommendations on permit matters.
