Section 3720 - Purpose

These regulations shall govern the exercise of city, county and state agency responsibilities to identify and map seismic hazard zones and to mitigate seismic hazards to protect public health and safety in accordance with the provisions of the Public Resources Code, section 2690et seq. (Seismic Hazards Mapping Act or "SHMA").

1. New section filed 1-27-92; operative 2-26-92 (Register 92, No. 12).
2. Change without regulatory effect amending section filed 5-6-2021 pursuant to section 100, title 1, California Code of Regulations (Register 2021, No. 19).
