Section 755 - Determination of Lead Unit
The Fish and Game unit having the lead role for the environmental evaluation process shall be that unit with the primary responsibility for proposing to carry out or recommending approval of a project, and shall have responsibility for ensuring that the evaluation process as set forth in CEQA, the State EIR Guidelines, and these procedures is followed. In the event that a project requires joint proposal or approval of two or more Fish and Game units, then the unit executives shall meet and determine which shall be the lead unit, and what information and other assistance shall be provided by the other responsible units.
