Any licensed hunter taking ducks, geese, or brant must have a current state duck validation in his or her possession. Any person hunting under the authority of a valid junior hunting license is exempt from this section.

1. New section filed 8-24-71; designated effective upon filing (Register 71, No. 35).
2. Repealer and new section filed 10-5-81; effective thirtieth day thereafter (Register 81, No. 41).
3. Amendment filed 9-16-2013; operative 9-20-2013 pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 355 (Register 2013, No. 38).
