Section 937.5 - Piling and Burning

When the option of burning piles or Concentrations of Slash is chosen to meet the slash treatment requirements as specified in these Rules, such burning shall be done as follows:

(a) Piles shall be sufficiently free of soil and other noncombustible material for effective burning.

(b) The piles slash shall be burned at a safe time following the first wet fall or winter weather or other safe periods and according to laws and regulations. Piles that fail to burn sufficiently to remove the fire hazard shall be repiled and burned in the manner aforesaid or treated to eliminate the fire hazard. All necessary precautions shall be taken to confine the burning to the piled slash.
