Section 914 - Purposes

Timber Operations shall be conducted to: meet the goal of maximum sustained production of high quality timber products; minimize breakage of merchantable timber; prevent unreasonable damage to residual trees, Reproduction, and fish and wildlife habitat as identified in the Plan or contained in the Rules, prevent degradation of the quality and Beneficial Uses of water consistent with 14 CCR § 916.2; prevent degradation of the Beneficial Functions of Riparian Zones consistent with 14 CCR § 916.2; and maintain site productivity by minimizing disturbance that could lead to soil loss.
