Section 345.13 - Additional Instructor License

An instructor shall be licensed separately for each school by which he is employed in the capacity of instructor, except as provided for in Vehicle Code section 11206(c). To be licensed for an additional school, the instructor shall meet all the requirements for an original license pursuant to Section 345.06, except for submission of a fingerprint card. In addition to meeting the requirements of Section 345.06, the applicant shall:

(a) Submit a letter of acknowledgment from each of the affected schools with the application. A letter of acknowledgment shall be signed by the owner, operator, administrator for a public school or agency and shall contain:

(1) The school name and license number.

(2) The instructor's name.

(3) The names of the other school(s) which will employ the instructor.

(4) A statement acknowledging that the instructor will be employed as an instructor for the school(s) listed.

(b) Pass an examination pursuant to Section 345.07 of this Article. This requirement may be waived, provided that the applicant has passed the examination in the previous three years, or has submitted evidence of department approved continuing education pursuant to Section 345.24 in the previous three years.
