Section 510.10 - Definition of Moneys and Other Personal Property

For purposes of California Military and Veterans Code sections 1035 and 1035.05, the term "moneys and other personal property" means all property, other than real property, in which the veteran had any legal title or interest at the time of death (to the extent of such interest), including assets conveyed to a dependent, heir, survivor, assignee or beneficiary of the veteran through joint tenancy, survivorship or contractual designations, including pay-on-death and transfer-on-death accounts, annuities, living trusts, Totten and tentative trust, and life insurance policies that name the veteran's estate as the beneficiary or revert to the estate, and retirement accounts that name the veteran's estate as the beneficiary or revert to the estate.
