Section 5515 - One Unique Serial Number Issued Per Firearm or Firearm Precursor Part

(a) The Department shall assign each unserialized firearm or firearm precursor part its own unique serial number so that each firearm or firearm precursor part is distinguishable from any other firearm or firearm precursor part.

(b) If the applicant requests multiple unique serial numbers for multiple unserialized firearms or firearm precursor parts during the same transaction on CFARS, each unique serial number received by the applicant will differ from all other unique serial numbers received by the applicant as a part of that transaction or any other future transaction to obtain additional unique serial numbers. Each unique serial number shall be distinct to a particular firearm or firearm precursor part. If the applicant's request to obtain a unique serial number for multiple firearms or firearm precursor part is approved, the Department will inform the applicant which unique serial number is specifically assigned to each firearm or firearm precursor part.
