Section 5371 - Eligiblity

(a) To be eligible for designation as a California Welcome Center, an applicant shall meet the following requirements:
(1) The applicant shall be a
convention center, visitor bureau, chamber of commerce, local government, state
government, federal government, private entity or combination of the
above.
(2) The applicant shall have a
permanent structure with heating and air conditioning at the proposed property site
and adequate public parking facilities, including buses and recreational
vehicles.
(3) The property shall be
within two (2) miles of a major interstate freeway or highway.
(4) The applicant shall have authority to
permanently display the required signage on the exterior of the proposed property
site. Applicant shall also have authority to display signage on local/city streets
leading from the highway to the Center.
