Section 2509.3 - Purpose

Insurance Code Section 11691 permits any workers' compensation insurer to file a clean and irrevocable letter of credit with the Commissioner, or his approved depository, or to make an acceptable deposit of securities with a bank, savings and loan association or trust company, or to make a deposit with the State Treasurer. Deposits made with the State Treasurer, pursuant to Insurance Code Section 11691, are not governed by these regulations.
