Section 2598.1 - Purpose

The purpose of these regulations is to set forth the standards that the commissioner may use for identifying insurers found to be in such condition which may render the continuance of their business hazardous to their policyholders, creditors or the general public.

These regulations shall not be interpreted to limit the powers granted the commissioner by any laws or parts of laws of this state, nor shall this regulation be interpreted to supersede any laws or parts of laws of this state.

1. New article 22 (sections 2598.1-2598.6) and section filed 11-26-2013; operative 1-1-2014 pursuant to Government Code section 11343.4(a) (Register 2013, No. 48).
