Section 2188.7 - Successful Completion of Statutory Approved Courses

Successful completion of courses referred to in Sections 1749.4 (a) through (m) of the California Insurance Code shall mean:
(a) Having received a passing grade for the examination administered by the council, college or institute referred to in Section 1749.4 (a) through (m) of the California Insurance Code; or
(b) Students attending a program referred to in Section 1749.4 (a) through (m) of the California Insurance Code shall attend all of a scheduled class; any exceptions must be approved by the instructor/subject matter expert or provider director and must not violate the minimum attendance requirement of eighty percent (80%) of the scheduled class. Students shall be awarded credits based on attendance and subject to the attendance record keeping requirements of Section 2188.5(b). The provider/instructor/subject matter expert has the authority to withhold credit for program completion when, in his or her opinion, the student did not pay satisfactory attention, or otherwise failed to demonstrate acceptable student conduct in class.
