Funding 2019-20

Adult Basic Education (ABE) State Grant Funds

Need-based

Provides Base funding for each service area based on county population & literacy rates

General Adult Education (GAE) State Grant Funds

Basis

Definition/Parameters

Performance Based

Using data collected through AERIS, submitted by programs, and the datamatch process.

Meet Educational Functioning Level (EFL) Federal Benchmarks

0-11 points for each EFL level meeting or exceeding benchmark

Multiple Measurable Skills Gains (MSG)

3- year average

Includes multiple EFL gains and secondary diploma or

Job Readiness Certificates

0-1 point for each State recognized and approved job readiness certificates (i.e. WAGET certificates, CRC, etc.) (maximum 4 points)

Employment

0-2 points Enter Employment within the 2nd/4th Quarter after exit

High School Equivalency

0-2 points Obtain highs school equivalency

Post-Secondary

0-2 points Enter post-secondary institution/program within 1 year of exit
