SUBJECT: Medicaid Coverage of Procedure Code 90662

Effective for dates of service on or after October 11, 2010, Arkansas Medicaid will reimburse providers for procedure code 90662 for eligible beneficiaries as part of a public health initiative.

Providers must bill procedure code 90662: "Influenza virus vaccine, split virus, preservative free, enhanced immunogenicity via increased antigen content, for intramuscular use". Reimbursement for procedure code 90662 includes the administration of the vaccine. A PCP referral is not required for this service.
