51.01 ROUGH FISH. Scaled rough fish may be taken by gig, spear, bow and arrow, and underwater diving gear during the entire year from sunrise to sunset in only lakes Norfork, Bull Shoals, Table Rock, Blue Mountain, Nimrod, Ouachita, Hamilton, Catherine, Greeson, Greers Ferry, Conway, Harris Brake, Beaver, Millwood, Erling, De Gray Reservoir, and all impoundments created by the locks and dams on the Arkansas River. Fish so taken shall not be sold.

PENALTY: $50.00 to $300.00

51.02 GAME FISH LIMITS. One-half the regular limits on game fish may be taken by spear guns from sunrise to senset only and from June 15 through March 15 only in lakes Beaver, Blue Mountain, Conway, Catherine, Erling, Greers Ferry, Greeson, Harris Brake, Hamilton, Millwood, Norfork, Nimrod, Ouachita, Table Rock, De Gray Reservoir, and all impo^andments created by the locks and dams on the Arkansas River. One-half the regular limit of game fish (EXCLUDING BASS) may also be taken from Bull Shoals Lake. All fish so taken will count against the daily bag limit.

PENALTY: $50.00 to $300.00

50.08 RESTRICTED FISHING. Unlawful to fish the following waters with any device except rod or pole.

53.01 ATTENDING YO-YOS. Unlawful to leave yo-yos or any mechanical fishing devices, which are set, whether baited or not, unattended from sun-up to sun-down. Unattended means to be out of sight or hearing or tne yo-yo or fishing device.

PENALTY: $25.00 to $250.00

100.15 FINES, MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM. If the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission shall fail to set a maximvim and minimum fine for a regulation, the fine for a fishing violation shall be a minimiim of $25.00 and a maximum of $250.00, and the fine for a hunting violation shall be a minimum of $25.00 and a maximum of $250.00.

120.00 MINIMUM MESH SIZES MEASURED WHEN MESH IS WET AND/OR TREATED WITH

PRESERVATIVE. Hoop nets, wings, leads, or heart and leads: Minimum mesh size, 2 1/2 inches. Fish seines: Minimum mesh size, 3 inches.

Three (3) inch bar mesh gill and trammel nets may be used day and night, for commercial purposes only, from October 1 through April 30. EXCEPTIONS: Three (3) inch bar mesh gill and trammel nets may be used day and night for commercial purposes only, the entire year, on the following streams only: Red River, Little River from its mouth to within 100 yards of Millwood Dam; Ouachita River up to the mouth of Little Missouri River; Fourche LaFave from its mouth to Highway 7 bridge; Petit Jean River from its mouth to Highway 10 bridge at Danville; White River up to the mouth of Salado Creek; Black River up to the mouth of Spring River; and St. Francis River up to the mouth of the left-hand chute of Little River. Such fishing is permitted only within the normal banks of these streams, regardless of water stage or level, and does not include any lake, bay, or other body of water which may be connected or adjacent to the streams named.

Three (3) inch bar mesh gill and trammel nets may be used day and night, for commercial purposes only, the entire year, in Arkansas waters between the main levees of the Mississippi River and all lakes through which the state line may traverse. Said mesh size to be measured after the nets have been treated with preservatives and when wet.

All navigation pools on the Arkansas River from Lock #2 and Dam #2 upstream to the Highway 7 bridge may be fished year around with gill and trammel nets having no smaller than, three and one-half (3 1/2) inch bar mesh.

All navigation pools on the Arkansas River above the Dardanelle Dam to the Oklahoma line may be fished with gill and trammel nets with no smaller than three and one-half (3 1/2) inch bar mesh, EXCEPT the use of gill and trammel nets are prohibited in this area from March 1 through May 31.

Gill and trammel nets may be fished in the Arkansas River below the Morgan Cut-off to the Mississippi River year around, with bar mesh sizes not less than three (3) inches. No commercial fishing is permitted in the 100 yards below any lock and dam.

The use of seines or nets other than as provided for in this regulation is prohibited except under special permit.

60,19 DARDANELLE LAKE. Unlawful to fish any nets in any part of Dardanelle Lake lanless such nets are anchored so that they are no nearer the surface than three (3) feet, EXCEPT from December 1 through the last day of February.

140.00 WATERS CLOSED TO COMMERCIAL FISHING. No commercial fishing is permitted in the following counties or parts of counties: Baxter; Benton; Boone; Carroll; Clark, west of Highway 67 from Arkadelphia south to county line and west of Highway 7 from Arkadelphia north to county line; Cleburne; Conway," north of Interstate 40, except Cadron Creek and the part of the North Cadron Creek in Conway County, and Point Remove Creek up the East Fork to Highway 95 and the Kissire Bridge on the West Fork; Crawford, north of Interstate 40; Faulkner, north of Interstate 40 and Highway 64 except that part of the North Cadron Creek in Faulkner County below Highway 285, and the Cadron Creek in Faulkner County; Franklin, north of the Missouri Pacific Railroad and east of Highway 23, and that part north of Interstate 40 and west of Highway 23; Fulton, west of Highway 63; Garland, west of Highway 7; Hempstead, north of Highway 24; Hot Spring, west of Highway 7; Howard, north of Highway 24; Independence, west of Highway 167; Izard; Johnson, north of the southern route of the Missouri Pacific Railroad EXCEPT Dardanelle Lake; Logan, south of Highway 10; Madison; Marion; Montgomery; Nevada, north of Highway 24 and west of Highway 67; Newton; Perry, west of Highway 7; Pike; Polk; Pope, north of Interstate 40 and east of Highway 7, and north of the Missouri Pacific Railroad and west of Highway 7 EXCEPT Dardanelle Lake; Scott; Searcy; Sebastian, south of Highway 10; Sevier, north of Highway 24; Sharp, west of Highway 167 and Highway 62; Stone; Van Buren; Washington; White, north of Highway 64 and west of Highway 167; Yell, west of Highway 7 and south of Highway 10.

In addition no commercial fishing is permitted in any of the following waters: All waters upstream from 100 yards below Remmel Dam on the Ouachita River (this includes Lakes Catherine and Hamilton); Lake Erling; all lakes owned and/or operated by the State Parks, "Recreation and Travel Commission, the U. S. Forest Service, and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (excluding Grand Lake and all of Lake Chicot); Lakes Kate Adams, Big Jefferson and Minne Anderson; Horseshoe Lake in Crittenden County and Lake Wallace in Drew and Chicot Counties.

The preceding named waters shall remain closed to all commercial fishing until changed by Order of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. IF ANY of these waters are temporarily opened to commercial fishing they shall return to a closed condition at the end of the specified open period.

PENALTY: $50.00 to $500.00
