ORDER AMENDED CODE BOOK ORDER 20.09
Unlawful to hunt with a crossbow in Arkansas, except in crossbow season in Madison and Franklin counties. Deer also may be taken (in areas open to gun deer hunting) with crossbow in a regular gun deer season. The crossbow hunters may also take other in-season non-migratory game during the gun deer seasons.
Unlawful to use any crossbow of less than 75 lbs. pull or arrow heads less than 7/8 inches wide and each crossbow must have an approved operational mechanical safety device.
In the regular crossbow season in Franklin and Madison counties it shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take more than one deer with crossbow. In this season the use of dogs is prohibited. The use of crossbows to take or attempt to take fish is prohibited at all times.
PENALTY: $100.00 to $500.00
