Rule 002.00.68-001 - Regulations Pertaining to Dogs

Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any dog to be hunted, or run loose in known game cover at anytime during the period of April 1 through July 31* for any purpose, EXCEPT, in areas so designated by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

Section 2. At anytime a dog is caught running loose, or being hunted with or without a collar, name plate and dog tag, and ownership can be determined, the owner shall be presumed to have knowledge that the dog is at large and shall be so charged.

Section 3. Dogs that are found being hunted, or running at large such as wandering, roving, or rambling at will, without restraint, or without being under control of a person having the right to control them, without collar, name plate and dog tag, shall be destroyed by any Officer and no action for damages shall be maintained against the Officer destroying such dog, either civil or criminal.

PENALTY: Any person violating any provisions of this Order shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, fined in any sum not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than two-hundred-fifty dollars ($250.00).
