01.00-C DEFINITION OF TERMS. For the purposes of the Arkansas Game and
Fish Commission Code of Regulations, the following terms shall be construed,
respectively, to mean and include: BAITFISH - Minnows (including bluntnose minnows, bullhead minnows, chubs, dace, fatheads, common carp under 6 inches, small goldfish, shiners and stonerollers), logperch (also called sand pike or zebra minnows), gizzard and threadfin shad, gar (other than alligator gar), bullhead catfish, crayfish, drum, bowfin under 6 inches, skipjack herring, silversides (brook and inland), buffalo (bigmouth, smallmouth and black), river carpsucker, sculpin (banded and Ozark), bream 4 inches and under, and bream over 4 inches that are caught by hook and line.
03.02 FISHING LICENSE REQUIREMENTS. It shall be unlawful for any resident or non-resident to fish in any manner or to take or attempt to take aquatic wildlife in Arkansas without having on the person the appropriate Arkansas fishing license as provided herein:

White River lakes License Agreement Between Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and Missouri Department of Conservation. PENALTY: $50.00 to $1,000.00.

EXCEPTIONS:
Independence, Izard, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Newton, Randolph, Searcy, Sharp, Stone, Van Buren, and Washington counties) - smallmouth bass minimum length limit of 12 inches with a daily limit of 4, except Bull Shoals Lake, Beaver Lake, Lake Norfork, and Table Rock Lake (see exception 1(B) below).
Ozark Zone Blue Ribbon Streams (Crooked Creek and Buffalo River) - smallmouth bass minimum length limit of 14 inches with a daily limit of 2. Smallmouth bass minimum length limit on Crooked Creek 18 inches with a daily limit of 1: from 101 bridge downstream to the confluence with the White River; between the Hwy 62-412 and Hwy 62 Spur bridges at Pyatt.
Smallmouth bass minimum length limit on Buffalo River 18 inches with a daily limit of 1 from confluence with Clabber Creek downstream to the confluence with the White River. Ozark Zone Catch and Release Area - Crooked Creek, along boundary of Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation property near Kelly's Slab Access.
Ozark Zone Quality Streams (Kings, Spring, South Fork/Spring and Eleven Point rivers) - smallmouth bass minimum length limit of 14 inches with a daily limit of 2, except on Kings River from Trigger Gap to Hwy 62 bridge: minimum length limit of 18 inches and daily limit of 1.
Ouachita/Boston Zone (all Arkansas counties not included in the Ozark Zone) - smallmouth bass minimum length limit of10 inches with a daily limit of 4.
Ouachita/Boston Zone Quality Streams (Mulberry, Caddo above DeGray Lake, DeGray Lake, Cossatot River, Ouachita River upstream from Lake Ouachita, Ouachita River downstream from Remmel Dam, Saline River, including its four headwater forks in Saline, Perry and Garland counties, South Fork/Ouachita, Little Missouri above Lake Greeson and Lake Greeson) - smallmouth bass minimum length limit of 12 inches with a daily limit of 2.
Ouachita/Boston Zone Catch-and-Release Area - all smallmouth bass caught in Lake Ouachita including the Ouachita River upstream to the River Bluff access and the South Fork of the Ouachita River upstream to Hovel Branch must be immediately returned to the stream.
DeQueen Lake, Lake Jack Nolen, Norfork Lake, Lake Ouachita, Lake Ashbaugh in Greene County and Table Rock Lake, five (5) on Lake Lou Emma - Crawford County, and four (4) on Lake Atkins; Largemouth bass daily limit - five (5) on
Grandview Lake #2, eight (8) in Lower White Oak Lake and Lake Columbia, and one (1) on Mallard Lake and the Little Missouri River.

31.19 FAMILY AND COMMUNITY FISHING PROGRAM RESTRICTIONS.
It shall be unlawful to fish in the following waters except as specified herein:
Armory Pond (Columbia County), Bob Courtway Pond (Faulkner County), Dr. James E. Moore Jr. Camp Robinson Firing Range (Faulkner County), Lake Village Community Fishing Pond (Chicot County), Mattocks Park Lake (Union County), Pine Bluff Regional Park Youth Fishing Pond (Jefferson County), Landers Lake (Pulaski County), Mike and Janet Huckabee Youth Fishing Pond (Hempstead County), Salem City Lake (Fulton County), War Memorial Park Pond (Pulaski County) and Craighead Forest Park Youth Fishing Pond (Craighead County):
It shall be unlawful to fish in the following waters except as specified herein:
Clear Lake (Clark County), Searcy City Lake (White County), Carol Ann Cross Pond (Sebastian County), Amon's Lake (Baxter County),, Dardanelle City Park Ponds (Yell County), Yell County Wildlife Federation Pond (Yell County), Wells Lake, Ft. Chaffee (Sebastian County), all lakes, ponds and streams managed by the City of Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department within the city limits of Little Rock, Mike Freeze England Community Pond (Lonoke County), Springdale Community Fishing Pond in Murphy Park, Cabot Community Pond, Willow Beach Park Pond (Pulaski County), Benton City Lake (Saline County), North Little Rock City Park waters (Pulaski County), Cherrywood Lake (Pulaski County), Sherwood Municipal City Pond (Pulaski County), Martin Luther King Jr. Park Pond in Pine Bluff (Jefferson County), Family Park Pond (Garland County),
Little Rock Air Force Base Pond (Pulaski County, Pinnacle Mountain State Park Pond (Pulaski County), Lake Valencia (Pulaski County), Lake Atalanta (Benton County), Pleasant View Park Pond (Pope County), Tilden Rodgers Park Pond (Crittenden County),Entergy Park Pond (Garland County) and Glenwood Community Pond (Pike County).
32.06 TAKING FISH WITH BOW AND ARROW OR GIG RESTRICTED.
It shall be unlawful to take any fish other than rough fish with bow and arrow or gig.
EXCEPTIONS:
PENALTY: $100.00 to $1,000.00.
32.19 ALLIGATOR GAR PERMIT REQUIREMENT. It shall be unlawful for any resident 16 years of age or older to harvest any alligator gar without first obtaining and validating by signature, a current Alligator Gar Permit, in addition to fishing license in accordance with Code 3.02. Permits are valid one year from the date of purchase. PENALTY: $100.00 to $1,000.00.
40.02 ALLIGATOR FARMER/DEALER GENERAL PROVISIONS.
12.15 DUCK, COOT AND MERGANSER SEASON RESTRICTIONS. It shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take ducks or coots other than, November 21-29, 2009, December 10-23 and December 26, 2009 January 31, 2010.
EXCEPTION:
PENALTY: $200.00 to $1,000.00.

12.17 DUCK DAILY BAG AND POSSESSION RESTRICTIONS. It shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take more ducks in any one day than as specified below or to possess more than two (2) daily bag limits: Bag Limits:
Daily limit of six (6) ducks which may include no more than four (4) mallards (no more than two (2) of which may be females), one (1) pintail, one (1) mottled ducks, two (2) scaup, three (3) wood ducks, two (2) redheads, one (1) black duck and one (1) canvasback. Daily limit of five (5) mergansers, which may include no more than two (2) hooded mergansers.
EXCEPTION:
Bayou Meto WMA Bag Limits:
Daily limit of four (4) ducks which may include no more than three (3) mallards (no more than two (2) of which may be females), one (1) Pintail, one (1) mottled ducks, two (2) scaup, three (3) wood ducks, two (2) redheads one (1) black duck and one (1) canvasback.
Daily limit of four (4) mergansers, which may include no more than two (2) hooded mergansers. PENALTY: $100.00 to $1,000.00.

12.18 WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE SEASON RESTRICTIONS. It shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take White-fronted geese other than from November 14-December 5, 2009 and December 12-24, 2009 and December 26, 2009-January 31, 2010statewide. PENALTY: $200.00 to $1,000.00.

12.20 SNOW, BLUE, ROSS' GOOSE SEASON RESTRICTIONS. It shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take Snow, Blue and Ross' geese other than fromNovember 7-December 24, 2009 and December 26, 2009-January 31, 2010, statewide.

12.22 CANADA GOOSE SEASON RESTRICTIONS. It shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take Canada geese other than from the zones and dates listed below:
Early Canada Goose Statewide Season:
September 1-15, 2009.
Northwest Canada Goose Zone Season:
September 26-October 5, 2009.
Late Canada Goose Statewide Season:
December 26, 2009-January 31, 2010.
Shooting hours are from one-half hour before sunrise to sunset statewide.
EXCEPTION:
PENALTY: $200.00 to $1,000.00.

12.25 FALCONRY SEASON RESTRICTIONS. It shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take migratory birds with raptors other than during the regular migratory bird seasons except as follows Ducks, Coots and Mergansers:
December 7-9, 2009 and February 1-15, 2010, statewide. PENALTY: $100.00 to $1,000.00.

12.27 SPECIAL YOUTH WATERFOWL HUNT RESTRICTIONS. It shall be unlawful for anyone other than youths, 15 years of age or younger, to hunt ducks, in season geese, mergansers and coots during the special youth waterfowl hunt on December 5-6, 2009, statewide. Youths who have completed a hunter education course must be accompanied by an adult mentor who is 18 years of age or older. Youths who have not completed a hunter education course must be under the direct supervision of an adult mentor who is 21 years of age or older. Mentors may not hunt ducks, geese, mergansers or coots but may, if properly licensed, hunt other game in season. Shooting hours and bag limits are the same as the regular waterfowl season.
PENALTY: $100.00 to $1,000.00.

12.29 SNOW, BLUE AND ROSS' GOOSE CONSERVATION ORDER
RESTRICTIONS. It shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take Snow,
Blue and Ross' geese February 1-April 25, 2010, statewide without the following:

18.18 WATERFOWL HUNTING RESTRICTIONS ON LAKES
CATHERINE, HAMILTON AND HARRIS BRAKE. It shall be unlawful to take or attempt to take any migratory waterfowl from any watercraft or other floating device on Lake Catherine in Garland/Hot Spring Counties, Lake Hamilton in Garland County, and Harris Brake Lake in Perry County or to take or attempt to take any migratory waterfowl within 1000 feet of any residence, dwelling or occupied structure on Lake Catherine or Lake Hamilton.
EXCEPTION:
PENALTY: $100.00 to $1,000.00.

25.02 HUNTING OR TRESPASSING PROHIBITED WITHIN CERTAIN
WMAs AND LAKES. It shall be unlawful to duck hunt and/or trespass on the following areas and lakes as specified herein:

25.03 BOAT AND BOAT MOTOR RESTRICTIONS ON CERTAIN WMAs.
It shall be unlawful to fail to comply with the following list of boat and boat motor restrictions for certain WMAs.

25.04 MIGRATORY WATERFOWL HUNTING ACCESS RESTRICTIONS
WITHIN WATERFOWL REST AREAS. All Commission owned or controlled waterfowl rest areas are closed to access from November 1-February 15.
EXCEPTIONS:Brake WMA are open to fall firearms turkey hunters and deer muzzleloader permit holders only.
PENALTY: $100.00 to $1,000.00.

25.07 WATERFOWL SHOT SHELL RESTRICTIONS FOR CERTAIN WMAs. It shall be unlawful to possess more than 15 shot shells per hunter or to possess shot shells containing shot larger than #2 while waterfowl hunting on Bayou Meto, Bell Slough, Camp Robinson, Cut-Off Creek,
Shirey Bay Rainey Brake and Seven Devils WMAs.

02.23 ALLIGATOR HUNTING SEASON. In shall be unlawful to take,
attempt to take, or possess an alligator other than during the open alligator hunting season as specified herein:
Alligator Zones 1 and 3: September 18-21 and September 25-28, 2009.
Alligator Zones 2, 4 and 5: Closed.
EXCEPTION:
Farmer Requirements.
