Rule 002.01.24-068 - 20.24 Feral Hog Restrictions on WMAs

It is unlawful to:

A. Hunt feral hogs on WMAs;

B. Hunt feral hogs on WMAs by the use of dogs or trapping; or

C. Possess or release live hogs on WMAs.

EXCEPTIONS:

A. Feral hogs may be taken by a hunter who is hunting bear, deer, or elk during any open season for those species with a weapon legal for that season and in compliance with all hunting license and permit requirements, except not on Holla Bend NWR and not on natural area WMAs managed in conjuction with the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission.

B. Feral hogs may be taken on a WMA by a legal archery hunter only during the portion of an open bear, deer, or elk archery season on that WMA except not on Hot Springs State Forest WMA.

PENALTIES:

For violation of (A) or (B): Class 3

For violation of (C): Class 4
