The regulations in this Code Book are hereby adopted by the Arkansas State Game and Fish Commission under authority of Amendment 35 to the Constitution of the State of Arkansas. All laws, rules, regulations, or orders in conflict with the regulations in this Code Book are hereby repealed by the Arkansas State Game and Fish Commission.
08.04 Hunting Deer With Dogs Prohibited
It is unlawful to use dogs for hunting deer during archery, crossbow, muzzleloader, or any regular or special and privant land anterless only modern gun deer seasons.
EXCEPTIONS:
A. Up to 2 dogs may be used to trail and
retrieve wounded deer after hunters have notified the AGFC Radio dispatch toll
free at (800) 482-9262 for permission.
B. Dogs may be used for deer hunting only
during the regular modern gun deer season in Deer Zones 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12,
13, 14, 15, 16A and 17.
PENALTY: Class 2
