Section R9-6-317 - Chancroid (Haemophilus ducreyi)

A. Case control measures: A local health agency shall:
1. Conduct an epidemiologic
investigation of each reported chancroid case or suspect case;
2. For each chancroid case, submit to the
Department, as specified in Table 2.4, the information required under
R9-6-206(D); and
3. Comply with the
requirements specified in
R9-6-1103
concerning treatment and health education for a chancroid case.
B. Contact control measures: When a chancroid case has named a contact, a local health agency shall comply with the requirements specified in R9-6-1103 concerning notification, testing, treatment, and health education for the contact.
