Arizona Administrative Code
Title 9 - HEALTH SERVICES
Chapter 21 - ARIZONA HEALTH CARE COST CONTAINMENT SYSTEM (AHCCCS) BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESS

Current through Register Vol. 30, No. 38, September 20, 2024

Laws 2015, Ch. 195 provided for the statutory transfer of behavioral health responsibilities from the Arizona Department of Health Services to the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS). Therefore the Chapter name has been amended from Department of Health Services to the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System at 22 A.A.R. 2019, effective July 12, 2016 (Supp. 16-4).

The Office of the Secretary of State publishes all Chapters on white paper (Supp. 01-3).

Title 9, Chapter 21 was adopted and amended by the Department of Health Services under the provisions of Laws 1992, Ch. 301, § 61, which provided for an exemption from the rulemaking process as specified in the Arizona Administrative Procedure Act (A.R.S. Title 41, Chapter 6, § 41-1001 et seq.). Exemption from A.R.S. Title 41, Chapter 6 means that the Department did not submit notice of this rulemaking to the Secretary of State's Office for publication in the Arizona Administrative Register; the Department did not submit these rules to the Governor's Regulatory Review Council for review; the Department was not required to hold public hearings on these rules; and the Attorney General has not certified these rules. Because this Chapter contains rules which are exempt from the provisions of the Arizona Administrative Procedure Act, the Chapter is printed on blue paper.
