The Department of Building and Fire Safety's name was changed to the Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety under the authority of A.R.S. § 41-2141, Laws 2005, Ch. 245, effective June 30, 2006 (Supp. 06-2). Chapter 36, formerly the Department of Building and Fire Safety, is now the Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety. This change became effective when the Department of Building and Fire Safety changed its name to the Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety, effective June 30, 2006 (Supp. 06-2).
