Section R17-3-701.01 - Outdoor Advertising Control: Restrictions on the Erection of Billboards and Signs and Restrictions on the Issuance of Permits

A. Outdoor advertising shall not be erected under A.R.S. § 28-2102(A)(4) or (5) in a zoned area:
1. Which is not part of a comprehensive
zoning plan and which is created primarily to permit outdoor advertising
structures, or
2. In which limited
commercial or industrial activities are permitted as an incident to other
primary land uses.
B. A permit for outdoor advertising shall not be issued under A.R.S. § 28-2106(4) in a zoned area:
1. Which is not part of a
comprehensive zoning plan and which is created primarily to permit outdoor
advertising structures, or
2. In
which limited commercial or industrial activities are permitted as an incident
to other primary land uses.
