7 AAC 140.270 - Hospice care provider enrollment

(a) To be eligible for payment under 7 AAC 105 - 7 AAC 160 for providing hospice care services, the provider must
(1) be enrolled in the
Medicaid program under
7
AAC 105.210;
(2) be a public or private organization that
the department has certified as a hospice for the purposes of the Medicare
program under 42 C.F.R. Part 418, adopted by reference in
7
AAC 160.900; and
(3) provide hospice care services for periods
of at least 210 days.
(b) If the hospice care provider enrolled under (a) of this section employs individuals to provide professional or specialized services, those employees must individually meet any applicable state licensing requirements.
(c) The department will not enroll a hospice care organization that is located out of state.
