7 AAC 125.195 - Payment for personal care services

(a) The department will pay for personal care services that are performed in accordance with 7 AAC 125.010 - 7 AAC 125.199 and applicable federal and state law.

(b) The department will base payment on the documented and verified total time during which the personal care assistant performed services in accordance with the recipient's approved service level authorization under 7 AAC 125.024.

(c) Repealed 1/26/2012.

(d) The department will pay a personal care services agency for providing personal care services at the rate identified in 7 AAC 145.500. At least 50 percent of the annual total payment made by the department to a personal care services agency for personal care services must be disbursed to personal care assistants as payment for work performed.

(e) A personal care assistant's rendering provider identification number must be associated with each claim that the personal care services agency submits to the department for Medicaid payment.
