7 AAC 67.335 - First aid kit and procedures

(a) A foster home shall review first aid procedures and have access to emergency telephone numbers, including the number for the poison control center. A foster home shall maintain at least one first aid kit described in (c) of this section that is kept at the foster home.

(b) A foster home shall restock each first aid kit after use to ensure compliance with this section.

(c) Each first aid kit must include at least the following items, checked regularly to ensure that any expiration date is not exceeded, and kept within a container that will hold all of the items:

(1) disposable nonporous, nonlatex gloves;

(2) sealed packages of alcohol wipes or antiseptic;

(3) scissors;

(4) tweezers;

(5) a thermometer;

(6) bandages;

(7) a nonlatex elastic bandage;

(8) sterile gauze.
