7 AAC 67.005 - Applicability

(a) The provisions of this chapter
(1) are not exclusive and supplement other
applicable standards of licensure, including those set out in
AS
47.05.300-47.05.390, AS 47.32,
and 7 AAC 10;
(2) apply to foster
homes licensed or required to be licensed under AS 47.32 and this chapter;
and
(3) do not apply to placement
decisions made by the department under
AS
47.10.088.
(b) A foster home may not operate unless it
(1) has a current foster home license issued
by the department under AS 47.32 and this chapter, regardless of the oversight
agency; or
(2) is exempt under 7 AAC 67.020.
