7 AAC 56.240 - Supervision of workers

(a) An agency with one or more employees or contractors shall ensure that an experienced worker monitors an inexperienced worker until the inexperienced worker is able to safeguard the best interests of children in care, to carry out agency policy, and to comply with state and federal law concerning the care of children in placement.

(b) An agency with one or more employees or contractors shall establish and maintain the following conferences, as applicable, at least monthly between a supervisor and

(1) worker assigned to children and families to review cases of specific children and families and techniques or procedures to implement plan goals; and

(2) worker for evaluating placement settings to review
(A) problems or strengths in specific placement settings; and

(B) techniques or procedures to address issues concerning resources for placement.

(c) If an agency with one or more employees does not have a supervisory or administrative individual qualified to supervise mental health professionals, the agency shall contract or otherwise arrange for professional supervision of mental health activity.
