7 AAC 56.220 - Level II child placing worker qualifications and responsibilities

(a) An agency shall employ at least one person who at a minimum meets one of the following qualifications:
(1) a bachelor's
degree in social work from an accredited college or university and at least two
years of supervised child-placing experience; or
(2) a bachelor's degree in a human services
field from an accredited college or university and at least three years of
supervised child-placing experience.
(b) Level II child placing workers shall carry out the following responsibilities:
(1)
approval of admission of a child into the child placement program;
(2) approval of the intake study;
(3) approval of a specific residential child
care facility, foster home, adoptive home, or guardianship home for the child's
initial and any subsequent placement;
(4) approval of licensing evaluations and
home studies for foster homes;
(5)
professional supervision of less qualified or experienced staff, if any,
including planning for staff development and corrective action in regard to
child placement decisions.
