7 AAC 56.020 - Exemptions from licensure requirements

(a) The department will consider the following persons as included in exemptions from licensure under AS 47.32.030:
(1) a person who arranges boarding care and
no other type of child placement;
(2) a person who provides only foster home,
adoptive home, or guardianship studies or licensing evaluations;
(3) an out of state Indian organization. as
defined in
25
U.S.C. 1903(7);
and
(4) an out of state agency that
meets the provisions of
7 AAC
56.040(a).
(5) a person or entity who does the arranging
on an incidental basis without compensation.
(b) In this section, "boarding care" means care provided in a foster home or a residential child care facility exclusively for children who are residing outside of their home community for 1 the purpose of obtaining education.
