(a) The department will pay for adequate clothing as determined by the department at the time of the initial placement of a child in an out-of-home care setting. If the child is placed in successive settings, the department will determine the adequacy of clothing at the time of each placement and will pay for the purchase of additional clothing if
(1) the department has provided prior
authorization for that purchase; and
(2) the cost is not already covered by
another program or by the base rate under
7 AAC 53.030.
(b) Once it is determined that the child has an adequate supply of clothing upon placement, routine replacement of clothing is the responsibility of the out-of-home care provider.
