(a) An individual, or a person acting on that individual's behalf, may apply for assistance under the CAMA program by submitting a complete identifiable application.
(b) Repealed 11/1/2002.
(c) A caseworker must interview the applicant before eligibility can be determined unless the caseworker determines that an interview is impossible or inadvisable because of illness, distance, or other reason. If an applicant cannot be interviewed, the caseworker may rely on statements of other persons who have knowledge of the applicant's need or circumstances that affect eligibility.
(d) An applicant shall provide adequate evidence to demonstrate the applicant's eligibility and financial need. If there are compelling reasons beyond the control of the applicant or the department why adequate evidence cannot be obtained in a timely manner, and if there is no reasonable cause to doubt statements of fact presented by or on behalf of the applicant, assistance under the CAMA program may be granted before receipt of the necessary evidence, upon approval by the department.
