7 AAC 47.400 - Eligibility determination and placement

(a) Except for an emergency placement under 7 AAC 47.510, the department will forward a written eligibility decision to an applicant not more than 30 days after the department receives an identifiable application for assistance under this chapter. By agreement of the applicant and the department, the 30-day period may be extended if a decision cannot be rendered because of a factor that is beyond the control of the applicant or the department.

(b) An applicant who is approved to receive services under 7 AAC 47.300 - 7 AAC 47.535 is responsible for finding an assisted living home placement and shall notify the department of the placement not later than 10 working days after the date of the department's written eligibility decision.
