7 AAC 44.350 - Time frame for assistance payments

(a) The heating assistance program begins awarding payments under 7 AAC 44.210 on the first state business day in November of each year.

(b) Expedited eligibility determination and assistance payment awards under 7 AAC 44.220( d) begin on the first state business day in November of each year and run through April 30 of the following year.

(c) If a disaster occurs in an area where the household is located, the department may begin issuing heating assistance payments before November 1 if the governor has issued a disaster proclamation and the disaster has increased the need for heating assistance to the household.

(d) The department will make the payment of subsidized rental housing utility deposits, under 7 AAC 44.290 throughout the year.
