7 AAC 18.270 - Surveys

(a) A registrant shall complete all surveys necessary to establish compliance with this chapter.

(b) If applicable, a survey must include

(1) a physical evaluation of the location of materials and equipment;

(2) measurements of levels of ionizing radiation present; and

(3) an annual calibration of radiation survey meters and personnel monitoring devices by a NVLAP accredited laboratory or qualified expert.

(c) For the purpose of this section, "survey" includes an evaluation of all ionizing radiation hazards incident to the production, use, release, disposal, transfer, or presence of sources of ionizing radiation under a specific set of conditions.
