(a) A home health agency must be organized under a governing body that assumes full legal authority and fiscal responsibility for the conduct of the agency.
(b) The governing body shall
(1) appoint a qualified administrator and
regularly monitor the performance of the administrator;
(2) appoint a professional advisory committee
as required under
7 AAC 12.508;
(3) adopt written by-laws, policies, and
procedures;
(4) provide adequate
staff, equipment, and supplies for the agency;
(5) cooperate in establishing a system by
which to coordinate and provide continuity of care within the community;
and
(6) ensure an annual program
evaluation and act upon the evaluation findings.
(c) The governing body shall provide for systematic and effective communication between the governing body and the administrator of the home health agency.
