7 AAC 12.453 - Scope of service

(a) In addition to complying with the requirements of 7 AAC 12.600(a) and (h), a frontier extended stay clinic must comply with 7 AAC 12.450 - 7 AAC 12.490.
(b) A frontier extended stay clinic must provide medical, radiological, laboratory, extended stay, and emergency services. The clinic must have the staff and resources necessary to provide the care and services offered.

(d) The clinic may provide care and services for an extended stay for monitoring and observation described in 7 AAC 12.450(a) (2)(C) if
(e) The clinic must have an agreement with a general acute care hospital, a rural primary care hospital, or a critical access hospital for transfer of patients described in 7 AAC 12.450(a) (2)(A) and (d) of this section who require medical or emergency care beyond the scope of the clinic's ability or license. If the agreement is not in writing, the clinic must provide evidence satisfactory to the department that patients referred by the clinic are being accepted and treated by the hospital.
