7 AAC 05.390 - Name of father

If the mother is married, the husband shall be entered on the certificate as father unless a determination of paternity has been made to the contrary by a superior court. If the mother is not married, the father shall not be entered on the certificate unless a determination of paternity has been made by a superior court. In any case where a determination of paternity has been made in accordance with the statutes, the name of the father shall be entered on the certificate. If the mother is not married and there has been no determination of paternity, no name or other identifying information shall be entered for father on the certificate. If a name has been entered as father without proper authority, and the certificate filed and registered, that part of the certificate shall not be included in any copy or certification made from the record except upon order of a superior court. None of the above shall preclude the right of subsequent legitimation in accordance with AS 25.20.050.
