7 AAC 05.140 - Restrictions on access

Each local registrar shall be responsible for observing and enforcing the restrictions on public access to vital records. While such original records remain in his office prior to transmittal, they shall be subject to inspection only in accordance with the instructions of the State Registrar. No copies of vital records, or any part of them, shall be kept by the local registrar, as such, without the expressed approval of the State Registrar. No copies of part or all of a vital statistics record may be issued by a local registrar.
