6 AAC 25.214 - Candidate's designated political affiliation

(a) A candidate who has filed a declaration of candidacy and wishes to change the candidate's political affiliation or nonpartisan or undeclared designation on the ballot shall file a written request for the change of designation in the manner required for filing a declaration under AS 15.25.040.

(b) A candidate who has filed a letter of intent and wishes to change the candidate's political affiliation or nonpartisan or undeclared designation shall file a written request for the change of designation in accordance with AS 15.25.105(c).

(c) A candidate for federal office may be designated on the ballot as affiliated with the political party or political group with which the candidate is registered as affiliated in the state in which the candidate is registered to vote.
