(a) repealed 7/1/2014.

(b) For brown bears taken in an active brown bear predation control area, the department will issue permits allowing hunters to sell untanned hides, with claws attached, and skulls after sealing as required in 5 AAC 92.165.

(c) In this section, "active" means that predator control permits have been issued for the referenced predation control area during the current year.

(d) A brown bear or black bear taken under a predator control permit does not count against the statewide bag limit for brown bear or black bear in other units of the state.
