5 AAC 85.070 - Hunting season and bag limits for unclassified game

(a) In this section the phrase "General hunt only" means that there is a general hunt for residents, but no subsistence hunt during the relevant open season. Hunting seasons and bag limits for unclassified game are as follows: Resident Open Season (Subsistence and Nonresident Units and Bag Limits General Hunts) Open Season (1) Shrew, mouse, and porcupine Units 1 - 26 No closed season. No closed season. No limit (2) Repealed 7/1/2002 (3) Cormorant (Pelagic and Double-crested only) Units 6, 8, 9, 10, 17, 18, 22, and 23 Sept. 1 - Apr. 1 No open season. (Subsistence hunt only) No limit; however, a bird may be taken only if used for food or clothing, and no bird or part of a bird may be sold or offered for sale (4) Crow Units 1 - 9 and 15 Mar. 1 - Apr. 15 Mar. 1 - Apr. 15 (General hunt only) Sept. 1 - Nov. 17 Sept. 1 - Nov. 17 (General hunt only) 5 per day; however, a bird may be taken only if used for food or clothing, and no bird or part of a bird may be sold or offered for sale Units 10 - 14 and 16 - 26 No open season.
