The Alaska Peninsula-Aleutian Islands Area includes Pacific Ocean waters west of the longitude of Cape Kumlik (157º 27' W. long.), east of 172º E. long. and shoreward of the 800-fathom (1,463 m) depth contour, and Bering Sea waters east of 172º E. long. and south of 54º 36' N. lat.
At its February 23 - 27, 1993 meeting, the Board of Fisheries readopted 5 AAC 02.500 in its entirety without change, under ch. 1, SSSLA 1992 (the 1992 subsistence law), which repealed and reenacted AS 16.05.258.
